She continued smiling, the classical music that had been turned on inside spilling outside from speakers. The pool had multi-colored lights on, the waters brightening up underneath Jaydyn. She sighed, her eyes closing while she let the moon's power seep into her pores, recharging her magical powers. She muttered incantations under her breath, letting the moon recharge her more efficiently while she chanted an old language that only witches knew.

After the child left it was only a few hours until sunrise, this man was completely despicable. Demitri walked up to the wall underneath of the man's bedroom window, perfect it was only about 9 feet off the ground. He jumped up and grabbed the ledge, being an elf he had much more physical prowess than any human his size, and pulled himself up. This was almost to easy, the window was open, and he slid inside of the room. As soon as he was in he sensed the trap and rolled. An axe slammed into the side of the window, Demitri rolled onto his feet, it was unusual that his target knew he was coming and even rarer that they fought back. The man dislodged his axe from the wood and Demitri expected him to run at him, but instead the man threw his axe at Demitri and cut his upper left arm down to the bone. The flesh from his shoulder down to his elbow was now almost completely severed, it was held on at the bottom near his elbow, and when it slid down the bone could be seen. Demitri howled in pain and rage, the man sprinted at him and attempted a yell, hoping that the injury would hinder his foe, but instead fire spewed from his mouth. The man's lungs were on fire so he couldn't yell and he burned from the inside out. Demitri's arm was gushing blood so he reset the skin and cauterized the skin back to his shoulder, but he didn't dare do more for fear of causing more damage. So he wrapped his arm in the man's bedsheets and ran as fast as he dared with blood loss towards Neveah's house, since she was the only real healer he knew. By the time he got close he was feeling incredibly light headed, he managed a yell before he fell into the sand. He hoped that he had heard him yell her name, and that was the last thing he thought before he blacked out.

Her eyes fluttered open, the night having lulled her to a smooth slumber on the floating raft. She had heard her name, and it sounded like someone was in pain. She then realized the sound of the voice, and she got out of the pool as fast as her small body would allow. She took off towards the beach in a dead sprint, bikini and all. Seeing the body on the sand, she basically flew to it, dropping to her knees besides him. Her hands immediately illuminated in bright yellow light, and she used this to turn him over. The face confirmed it all, and a choke of a cry caught in her throat. Her entire body exploded in a blinding white light, the bedsheets flying off and landing about twenty yards away. Her fingers grabbed his arm, tears streaming down her face. She didn't realize how badly she had fallen for this man, nor how bad the actual injury was. With each second of agonizing time that flew by, the white light slowly faded, her powers pouring out from her and into him, not only healing the wound, but the symptoms as well. Without her spell book she couldn't make his blood refill, but she tried her best with doing as much as she could. She was muttering memorized incantations, and once the wound was healed closed, only a faint pink scar was left. All the white light had faded from her, and she fell limp to the beach, her powers completely drained for the first time.

Demitri awoke on the couch inside of the beach house, very disoriented. After a few minutes he realized where he was, he tried to get up but he couldn't. Then he remembered what had happened, and looked around for Jaydyn, and when he couldn't find her he croaked out her name. And was taken back at how bad his voice sounded, how long had he been out?

Jaydyn had been out for quite some time. Upon hearing her name she moved from out of the kitchen and into the living room. She sank down next to him, a glass of water held out to him. "Don't talk yet, you're still really low on blood," she whispered softly, brushing back some of his hair and handing him the glass. "Don't drink too much," she advised, the look of a caring mother on her face. "And, don't worry about Adrianna. I had someone go and fetch her. She's sleeping in one of the guests room," she said quietly, her voice very sullen and sad sounding.

He knew she was right, he had lost a lot of blood. He slowly moved his arm to accept the glass of water, and took a small sip. The cool liquid slid down his throat and felt very refreshing. He was incredibly relieved that she had brought Adrianna here, he had been worried. After he was done drinking he handed the glass back to her and everything went black again.

She rubbed hair out of his face and gently pressed a kiss to his forhead. She wished that she could do more healing, but she had used up literally all of her magic. She wouldn't be able to do anything but potions until the next full moon when her powers would recharge. She sighed, moving and sitting down on the next couch. She grabbed a glass of wine off the table and took a sip, glancing over at Demitri. She set the glass down, her hand turning the page of the gigantic potion book. It was just as big as her spell book. She smiled, finally finding what she looked for. On the table infront of her was a small cauldron, and tons of vials holding things that only witches would recognize. There were no labels. She read the entire page about the potion and quickly went to work, her hands mixing liquids and solids that continually changed the color, smell, and texture of the magical mixture.

When he woke back up Adrianna was standing in front of him with a worried look on her face. "Don't worry sweetheart I'm alright." He could tell she didn't fully believe him, and why should she. "Its alright, Jaydyn helped me. Why don't you go see what she's doing, I'm sure she'd enjoy the company." He blacked back out and Adrianna got up to go find Jaydyn.

Jaydyn was sitting in a room, the cauldron bubbling softly. It was a thick yellow color and it smelled like lemons for now. She was pouring over the book, glasses perched nicely on her nose, her silver hair flowing in thick curls around her. She had a wand, something she barely ever used and dipped it into the cauldron. She mixed it together, dropping a few drops of a deep red color into the cauldron. It started to swirl around, and it changed to an odd orange color. A smell radiated out from it, and she groaned, tossing the book against the wall, the fragile thing dropping down to the floor with a thud. She must have translated wrong.

She walked in just as the book hit the wall. She wondered what Jaydyn was doing, it was something that she had never seen done before. She melded into the shadows of one of the corners of the room, she had he fathers talent for concealment, and watched to see what would happen.

Jaydyn stood up quickly, moving over the white board and scribbling down ancient symbols that she muttered in the strange language. She moved over to the book, so incredibly focused that she didn't see the small girl enter the room. Jaydyn grabbed the cauldron and drumped it out, starting over with new ingredients, slowly reading the book again, muttering in that odd language when she added things into the bowl. She grabbed her wand again, dipping it back into the mixture, and this time it started to steam and bubble a deep, dark red that smelled of roses and musk. She smiled, and jumped up and down cheering. She grabbed an empty glass, a large wine glass. She flipped the cauldron over, dumping the thick goupy contents into the glass.

She still didn't understand what she had been doing, so she stepped out from the shadows and tapped Jayden's back. "What are you doing?"

Jaydyn jumped. "Oh, Adrianna, I hadn't seen you there," she said, holding onto the glass tight. "I've been trying to make a potion that will help heal your dad," she said softly, sprinkling a light dust over the cup. "Want to come help me?" she asked, stepping towards the door.

Did she want to help her dad? Of course she did, she hardly ever saw him vulnerable like this and she didn't like it. "What do you need me to do?"

She smiled, walking downstairs with the young girl at her feet. The white shiny marble floors reflected their image, making the potion seem even more menacing than it was. "We have to make sure that he drinks all of this. It won't be pleasant, and it will be very difficult to convince him to drink all of it. It will momentarily make his mind think that we are poisoning him. I expect a fight," Jaydyn said quietly, looking down to the little girl and offering her her hand. "It'll be okay, though. It'll make him better," she said softly, a grin on her face.
